Sculpt and Shine: The Secret of Facial Massage

Facial Massage Deserves Much More Credit

The human face alone is made up of 42 muscles. Throughout our days and weeks, as we go about our daily business, we move our facial muscles in various ways, causing stress and tension. Some people clench their jaws, some furrow their brows without even realizing it when concentrating, and some purse their lips. There are countless ways we all cause tension throughout the day.

All these movements impair blood flow, which in turn means less oxygen to the skin. And do you know what that causes? Aging skin, dull skin, lackluster skin, dry skin, unbalanced skin, loss of elasticity and firmness, and so on.

Facial Massage

Facial massage is a crucial practice that, if done somewhat regularly, can slowly counteract the aging process and bring out that youthful skin (along with continuing the basics, such as wearing sunscreen).

Facial massage increases blood flow, bringing fresh oxygen to the skin and muscles, which also helps to increase the absorption of your skincare products.

There are so many new technologies, lasers, and skincare products launching on the market every single day. And yes, some of these things can help speed up certain results (usually after spending potentially thousands of dollars). Sometimes, you can go so crazy trying all the new toys and ingredients that it does more harm than good, but that will be for another post.

In most cases, the secret lies in a simplicity and consistency. Being consistent in your journey might be all you need.
